3. Just ‘Ghee’ It
This might seem like an odd one but it is most definitely a superfood that has not completely been accepted yet. People tend to think that it is a cause for weight-gain and hence remove it from their diet. But that is not the case as even a small amount of ghee could do wonders to your body.
It is a natural immunity booster that improves your skin and it has ties to ayurvedic medicines. Ghee actually reduces the glycemic index of the food which basically means that it helps other food items in performing a better job.
Ghee is a high-functioning fat that is required by the body to maintain the health of the brain and the heart and also keep up the energy levels. It also helps in reducing the exposure to agents of cancer and has anti-inflammatory properties.
So, how do you add this nutritional powerhouse to your daily regime? First of all, it’s time to get that ghee on your chapati back but be mindful of the amount, maybe just use a brush and lightly wipe it. Secondly, for all the tadkas in your dal, use ghee and not oil.
It adds to the flavor and is also beneficial for the body. If there is a day when you’re feeling constipated, just mix a spoon of ghee in your milk and drink up to get rid of your worries.
